About Absolute Theatre...

Absolute Theatre was founded in 2002 by Artistic Director Stuart Gunn to produce a platform for theatre of the highest quality.

In the tradition of Absolute Theatre each production opens in New Zealands Cultural Capital (Te Puke) before going on to Tauranga and beyond.

In recent years the company has toured in the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki and the South Island.
Past productions under Stuarts artistic guidance include Neville's Island, Educating Rita, Art and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged.

Personal highlights of his work with other companies include: Weed, Joyful and Triumphant, Someone To Watch Over Me, The Tempest, Radio Times, and Fawlty Towers.

Stuart is well known for his passion for theatre and business. He has a number of business interests and holds a board position on a major New Zealand corporation.
